"Big Dreamer-- I isn't that kinda harsh? God is a jealous God, jealous not in the human sense but meaning, He will not compete for the first place in our hearts and our lives. I don't understand all the books of the law, of the wisdom books or the books of the prophets yet (and never will as much as I'd like to) but I know that if I could see the Old Testament through God's eyes, then I would understand why things were as they were."

He's a very jealous God, but also a God of wrath. Think about Uzzah ( 2 Samuel 6:3 ). God killed Him, in essence brought His wrath upon Him, because he touched the Ard, God's glory.

''The bible even tells us that the earth was round before man discovered that it was."

I'm not saying it's not there, but whenever you talk about scripture saying this or that would you, along with everyone else, mind putting the reference, please?

"I don't know any more about God than anyone else. I don't think ANYONE knows more about God. I mean, we get what we do out of the Bible, and none of us really know if that's true or not... I'm not saying it isn't, and I'm not saying it is... I'm just saying we don't know."

I may not KNOW anymore about God than a non Christian, but I think I know HIM better than a non Christian, because I have a relationship with Him. One thing I'm discovering lots lately is that there is a huge difference between knowing about God and actually, truly knowing Him and having a personal relationship with Him, ya know? I'm not quite sure I understand what you're saying about how you don't think ANYONE knows more about God? Do you mean you don't think anyone knows more about God than the next person? Because if you are, I'm not sure how you can say that. I would venture to guess I know more about alpacas than you, and I would venture to guess you know more about other subjects than I do. I think a pastor might know a bit more about God than a person who's never heard of Him. btw, tangledwishes, after reading your "blogs" I've found I love your writing and your style of writing. )
